My Lego Build: The Revolt

It started with an amusing meme of a Lego squirrel about to cut a park ranger. That 10×10 tiny build was the inspiration for a much bigger version of it, that kept expanding.

Trying to recreate even the small version provided a challenge, going through BrickLinks to find the ranger top, hat, knife, and even the worried expression face. When I realized that Lego had more than one color squirrel, it started with a fun little build to celebrate the squirrels and that I found a ‘nut’ piece:

I don’t recall how many months it took, primarily due to expanding and needing new pieces. Finding them on BrickLinks, ordering, and waiting as they often came from Europe. I wanted to capture more than a squirrel going after a park ranger though, so it ended up being two variations of it. Along with that, a huge backdrop of a forest, river, and plenty of small woodland creatures.

One thing that made life easier was finding a small Lego City ‘Logger’ and BBQ Grill sets. Having these ready to assemble fit neatly into my concept.

The logger gave way to a specific part of the build:

The grill build allowed for the other fun revolt:

Next were other features like the flowery path, waterfall, river, and other creatures:

So with all of that, the final build!
